HEALTHY EATING
A balance diet includes a wide variety of foods with all the different nutrientes.
There are different types of nutrients: vitamins and minerals, carbohydrates, proteins and fats.. Each type of nutrient helps your body in a different way.
VITAMINS AND MINERALS are found mainly in the fruit and vegetables. It keeps you healthy.
PROTEINS are mainly found in the products that come from the animals (meat, fish, eggs and dairy products), and in the pulse (beans, lentils, chickpeas). It helps you to grow strong.
FATS and other nutrients we don't need so often. It gives you extra energy!!!! Eat then only when you have extra activity!!!

REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
The reproductive system allows humans to make more living things of the same type.
Everything starts with two cells: a sperm (made by the male reproductive organs) and an ovule or egg (made by the female reproductive organs).
Next video is the whole process of creating a new human: from fertilization to the newborn baby. A summary of the nine moths into 15 minutes!!!

This unit is going to be very short. We are going to learn what is a mineral and what is a rock, the rock cycle and the uses of minerals and rocks.
There are three types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic.

A PERSON (I,you, he,...Molly) + HAVE/HAS + PAST PARTICIPLE (Do you remember the third column in irregular verbs, that I told you that till the end of the year you were not going to know what to used it for? Here it is!!! Now we are going to use it!!!!

We are going to work the technique of pointillism to cultivate your patience. Remember to take your time, and never be in a rush for Arts. You can paint the four circles like in the video, or you can choose any other shape. Use, if possible, the felt-tips in two of them and the tempera in the other two: and practice the shading (with black and white) , the blending (with two analogous colours and the transitions between colours. Isn't it exciting?!!!Victoria is going to teach you how to do it. The following week (from the 18th to 22nd of May), when everybody has already learnt to use it, you are going to create your own PowerPoint on the unit we are learning in Social Science: WATER.

EXCRETORY SYSTEM

Urine is the pee!!!, but what is URINE made up of? Urine is make up of the waste products that carry the blood when it is filter in the kidneys plus the excess of water in your body. The urine is produced in the kidneys, then it goes through the ureters Into the bladder. When the bladder is full of urine, you need to go to the toilet. The urine goes out of your body through a tube called urethra.

From 2:08 to 2:47, you will find information about the nervous system.
From 2:47 to 3:09, you will find information about the muscular system.
From 3:09 to 5:05, you will find information about the circulatory system.
From 5:05 to 5:53, you will find information about the excretory system.
From 5:53 to 9:05, you will find information about the respiratory system.
From 9:05 to 16:13, you will find information about the digestive system.

Buenas tardes familias, acercaos voy a contaros un cuento:
Érase una vez...
Un día del mes de marzo, hace ya mucho tiempo, un viejo
maestro de escuela llevó globos a su aula y regaló uno a cada alumno.
A cada uno pidió que pusiera su nombre en el globo que les
había regalado, los dejaran en el suelo y salieran de la clase.
Una vez afuera, les dijo: "Tienen 5 minutos para que
cada uno encuentre el globo que lleva su nombre".
Los alumnos entraron corriendo a buscar cada uno su globo.
Se atropellaban unos a otros. Los globos revoloteaban con tanto movimiento de
los niños.
Se acabaron los 5 minutos y ninguno había podido encontrar
el suyo.
El maestro les dijo ahora: "Coged cualquier globo y
entréguenselo al dueño del nombre que lleva anotado".
En apenas un par de minutos todos los alumnos ya tenían el
suyo en la mano.
Finalmente, dijo el maestro: "Chicos, los globos son
como la felicidad. Nadie la va a encontrar buscando la suya solamente. En
cambio, si cada uno se preocupa por la del otro, encuentra rápido la que le
pertenece".
Y ahora, nosotros también tenemos un globo con nuestro
nombre escrito y ahora más que nunca, nos necesitamos unos a los otros.
No es por ti, ni por mí. No es por los tuyos, ni es por los
míos. Es porque ahora la salud de todos está en nuestras manos.
